Chris served his community with unwavering commitment. He coached, mentored, officiated, and led programs that shaped generations of young athletes and families. From youth sports to high school athletics, from community programs to everyday interactions, he showed up again and again, bringing encouragement, consistency, and a deep belief in the potential of others.

More than anything, Chris will be remembered for how he lived. He brought joy, humor, and heart wherever he went. He made people feel seen and valued. He built relationships that lasted a lifetime. And he gave freely of his time, his wisdom, and his presence.

Through its mission, Hoban’s Heroes helps provide funding and access for sports and extracurricular opportunities for youth and young people across all ages, ensuring more people have the chance to play, grow, and belong.
